Tit For Tat

Directed by Charles Rogers, 1935.

Stan & Ollie have set up their own electrical repair store. Unfortunately, for them, the grocery store opposite is run by a mean little man and his charming wife.

Be Big

Directed by James W. Horne, 1931

"On their way to the train station with their wives for a vacation in Atlantic City, Stanley and Oliver get a phone call from a fellow lodge member who tells them a surprise stag party in their honour is being held that evening. Oliver feigns illness to get out of the trip, and the wives head off to the train station by themselves. Stanley's attempts to help Oliver get into his lodge uniform turn into a series of disasters. Meanwhile, the wives miss the last train and, returning to discover the deception, come after their husbands with shotguns." — Paul Penna (IMDb).

Happy

Pharrell Williams, 2013

Excerpt from a workshop by Abraham channelled through Esther Hicks (www.abraham-hicks.com).

Attend to your vibration first and foremost, counsels Abraham. Not your problem-solving intellect.

“Release resistance. The basis of your life is freedom. Your quest is joy. And the result will be eternal expansion. But your quest must be for joy. That’s the answer to every question you ask. Strange we take so long. Could have saved you a lot of time, money. What’s the question? Get happy. What’s the question? Get happy. Find a way to get happy. How can I have a better-feeling body? Get happy. How can I find more clarity? Get happy. How will I find the answers to all my questions? Get happy. How will I allow the metabolism of my body to be at its best? Get happy. How will I live happily ever after? Get happy. How will I – how will I endure the injustice of this person I live with or this thing that I’m seeing? We say, well, that’s where you have to ask the question: Can I be happy and look at that? And the answer’s no. In other words, you have to finally accept that you just can’t look at things that make you unhappy and be happy.

And that’s the thing. People have been trying the impossible for so long. I’ll just look at this thing that opposes everything for so long, that opposes who I was before I was born and opposes that which I’ve become since I got here. I’ll just ask the universe: Let me please be the one exception and I’ll look at this thing that I do not want and I’ll ask to be happy. And we say –or clear, or healthy or prosperous – you just can’t do it. You have to look in the direction of what you want. And, the more you do it, the easier it is. And the easier it is the more you do it. And, the more you do it, the easier it is. And, the easier it is, the more you do it. Until, before you know it, you’re offering a vibration where only wellbeing flows to you.

And others are looking at you from the outside and they say, ‘How is it that you live like this? It seems that whatever you ask for comes to you easily.’ And you say, ‘I got happy. And they say, ‘In this awful world? Under these awful conditions? And you say, ‘Oh. I know there are little pockets of that. But I looked for pockets of happy. And I discovered there are many, many, many, many, many, many, many more evidences of well-being than not. I don’t know how I got oriented to thinking it was the other way. Maybe because I was trying to fix things that are broken. Maybe because, as humans, we are solution-oriented. But, we want you to know the solution to every problem lies in the vibrational relief and letting go of resistance.

So, whatever it takes. If it takes petting your cat, if it takes cooing with your baby, if it takes making love, if it takes eating something good, if it takes going to a spa, if it takes sitting on top of a mountain looking down at a beautiful lake, a drive in the country, listening to beautiful music, anything that you can do to distract yourself from the things that make you feel bad, will cause an increasing improvement in your vibration gap, which is an increasing improvement in your vibrational alignment with Source and who you are, which is the recipe for the creation, and the full receiving, of all things wanted.”

Get Lucky

Happy

[Verse 1:]
It might seem crazy what I'm about to say
Sunshine she's here, you can take a break
I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don't care, baby, by the way

Uh

[Chorus:]
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

[Verse 2:]
Here come bad news talking this and that, yeah,
Well, give me all you got, and don't hold it back, yeah,
Well, I should probably warn you I'll be just fine, yeah,
No offense to you, don't waste your time
Here's why

[Chorus]

Hey
Go
Uh

[Bridge:]
(Happy)
Bring me down
Can't nothing
Bring me down
My level's too high
Bring me down
Can't nothing
Bring me down
I said (let me tell you now)
Bring me down
Can't nothing
Bring me down
My level's too high
Bring me down
Can't nothing
Bring me down
I said

[Chorus 2x]

Hey
Go
Uh

(Happy) [repeats]
Bring me down... can't nothing...
Bring me down... my level's too high...
Bring me down... can't nothing...
Bring me down, I said (let me tell you now)

[Chorus 2x]

Hey
C'mon

A Chump at Oxford

Directed by Alfred Goulding, 1940

As a reward for accidentally capturing a bank robber, Stan and Ollie get scholarship to Oxford, but are met with resentment by other students.

Storyline

"With Stan in drag, the boys get jobs as a butler and maid for a dinner party at the Vandevere's. After that ends in disaster, they're reduced to sweeping streets, and accidentally capture a bank robber. The grateful bank president sends them to Oxford for a proper education. There they become victims of student pranks, getting lost in the Maze and taking over the Dean's quarters as their own. But then a knock on the head gets Stan to believing he's the famed Lord Paddington, scholar and athlete extraordinaire. Suddenly erudite and supercilious, he retains Oliver as his valet, 'Fatty.'" Kingdoms of Cancer

The Beauty of Gemina

Zürich, 19 November 2016

From the DVD Minor Sun – Live in Zürich (Released on 17 March 2017)

Kingdom of Cancer
And we leave all these Kings
and these Kingdoms of Cancer
And we leave all these Fights
these Fights full of Anger

And we leave All this now
and we leave all this now
And we All stand up now
And we hear and we see

And we leave all these Teachers
They teach us no Answers
And we leave all these Priests
The Priests are all fighting

And we leave all this now
And we All stand up now
And we hear and we cry

They shattered our dreaming...

And we leave all these Fathers
They can´t hear us crying

And we leave all these Soldiers
They've forgotten good Prayers
And we leave all these Prophets
and their wishful Unsaying

And I cry out in this Mud
And I fear it in the Night
And I look up in this All
And I feed on this Pain

And I read all this Signs I see
Every Time I´ve been seen
Aching and hoping - no Secrets to hide

Suicide Landscape

The Beauty of Gemina, 2006

Grew up in this Shadow-Land
With a Suicide Landscape
Where the dark Seas are whispering
From the Edge to the deepest End

Grew up in this Shadow-land
With a Suicide Landscape
Where the black Birds are singing
Where the black Birds are falling down

Look up to these fallen Stars
In a broken light Sky Shape
Where all these Tongues in my Head
All these Tongues are still lancing

Look up to these fallen Stars
In a broken light Sky Shape
Where all these Guns in my Head
All these Guns are still dancing

Still dancing in my Head
Still dancing in my Head
Still dancing in my Head
Are still dancing in my Head.....

And I'm breaking and my Name is on Fire
And I go up and go down and see
There's a Sign to deny all this Blindness
And I'm rising forever

Feel this Night - feel the Blood in my Veins
And I am still there
And I am still there

Still dancing in my Head
Still dancing in my Head
Still dancing in my Head
Are still dancing in my Head.....
