Doctors Scott and Bach inject the dying Kyra Zelas (Mari Blanchard) with a formula which saves her life - but also renders her almost immortal and wickedly evil.

The story is based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Modern scientists accidentally create a monster. They then have to cure the woman of the qualities that pose a threat to civilised society after her demons surface. Since the final operation is not a success, we can assume that the only cure is death.

Naturally, it is a woman who personifies the disturbing Pandora's Box so directly and meaningfully. When men are reborn as monsters, nobody seems to fathom that the root cause is a flood of unrefined energy from the unconscious. Whereas with a woman, huh, its so obvious!

Unconscious+Woman=Monster. Unconscious+Man=What happened? He's no longer conscious and therefore a man. Or he's split like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. At least he's conscious and dignified half of the time. But the rest, forget it, he's just a monster! Whereas she clearly is still a woman. And a permanent menace.

They both have everything they want.Alas, she is plagued by something inflicted upon her during childhood: a feeling of guilt for the murder of her father. But she was not responsible. And all the while John's childhood love continues to carry the flame knowing that one day he will be hers.
