Henry Fonda Plays Emmett Kelly (1955)
Henry Fonda plays Emmett Kelly and it was apparently a project Fonda had wanted to do for quite some time. While the role was played by Fonda, Kelly was coaching during the TV play for the General Electric Theater. The play shows how circus clown Emmett Kelly creates his famous character Weary Willie. Kelly was undoubtedly America's most famous and recognizable clown.
