Directed by Mario Bava, 1966
A Carpathian village is haunted by the ghost of a murderous little girl named Melissa whose evil mother, Baroness Graps, had her killed and who has been murdering other people and getting off on demonic entities working through her. But whenever the ghost of the child is present somebody bleeds to death. Apparently, she is being used to exact revenge on the villagers. They know this but the doctor who's been sent for by Inspector Kruger to perform an autopsy takes some convincing. So, several deaths later, including that of Monica, a local nurse, he finally gets it! Meanwhile, Ruth, the village witch, attempts to protect the villagers the best she can, including the man she loves.
