Monstaville Book II. Chapter 31

31

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
(Holy Bible, Matthew 5:43-48).

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone wants to sue you, and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?" - (Matthew 5:38-47, alternative version).

Help your enemies to grow by giving them a chance of receiving Light and Grace. I have read (probably in the Ramala teachings) that the sentiment reportedly uttered on the cross - ‘Father forgive them, for they know not what they do’ - refers to the elements as a storm broke out during the Nazarene’s ordeal. We understand his words to mean that his persecutors were like animals, or worse. They were savage young souls who knew only to abuse their freedom of will and their power as individual entities. They knew only how to destroy truth and beauty, not to create.

“Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.” (1 John 3:13).

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” (John 17:14).

The Dawn of the Golden Age. A Spiritual Design for Living by Paco Rabanne (Element Books, Dorset, U.K., 1999).

p.11. Modern man dreads being conspicuous, and so copies others, but at the same time is suspicious of them, which is another paradox!

p.93-94. What such people can do is send us negative vibrations and wish so desperately for things to go wrong for us, that they manage to disturb us without our knowledge, interfering with our concentration and undermining our self-confidence.
The more honest will show their dislike openly, attacking our work or our family. Others go about it in an underhand manner, disguising their hatred with deceitful smiles, secretly mulling over their dark plans. Without developing a persecution mania every time things don’t work our as planned, we can be alerted by encountering repeated and inexplicable pitfalls, an abnormal feeling of exhaustion, negative thoughts which come to us suddenly, unexpected bouts of laziness, unusual rages, resentments or feelings of discouragement. When these feelings are particularly strong, there is one unmistakable sign that these vibrations are occurring - we no longer feel like praying any more, we forget to do it, or we cannot do it.

p.95. One of my favourite protection techniques is the use of a mirror. The Taoists endow it with the virtue of revealing the nature of harmful influences and reflecting them. They often place a small mirror above their door for this purpose. Similarly, the shamans of Asia have fragments of mirrors sewn onto their clothes, meant to protect them from the darts of mischievous spirits.

p.96. Another technique involved containing the person who may have bad intentions towards you. It may be someone who is secretly scheming, or someone who is treating you unfairly, someone who is envious of you, a colleague who is plotting your downfall, a boss who exploits you, or a woman driven by jealousy. Visualise your persecutors as if they were inside a cube covered with mirrors. Wherever they turn they will find themselves confronted with their own bad thoughts and actions. Not only will their negative vibrations be neutralised at source, but you will be giving them the opportunity to become conscious of their evil-doing. ‘How can one take revenge on one’s enemies?’ someone asked Diogenes. ‘By making an honest man out of him,’ he replied without hesitation.
But, there again, you must remember not to spoil this technique by combining it with your own animosity. ‘A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger,’ we read in Proverbs 15:1. ‘Treat well whoever seeks to quarrel with you, and to whoever does you harm, give him love in return,’ says a Babylonian proverb. We should, therefore, surround that cage of mirrors with absolute love, asking God to help the person inside. Don’t be afraid that he or she might use that help to hurt you. The celestial powers will never lend their support to evil intentions.

p.97. If the initiate is humble and sincere, he will realise that the best protection, as far as people are concerned, is the positive thought he radiates towards them. That positive field is our strongest shield, for it stops our enemies from harming us. It may at first seem strange, but it is in wishing them the very best that we are safeguarded. And you will find that the person in question will forget you, or even better, become conscious of the destructive effects of their behaviour and will approach you for reconciliation. For you, the rewards will be doubled; you will have put a stop to their hostility and your positive thoughts will have been returned to you as positive energy. For no one escapes, either for good or evil, the law of the ‘boomerang’ effect.

p.98. It is so much easier to pray for someone who has harmed us than consciously wish them well.

p.98. Clearly, the bestowing of both punishments and rewards is God’s prerogative.

p.129-130. We should not waste our energy cursing their bad intentions. We can prepare for confrontation by taking advantage of the law of non-resistance which is recommended by the sacred texts. There again, these are often misunderstood. Christ’s terrible demand in Matthew 5:38-39, has always been considered controversial: ‘You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.’ The Gospel tries, in this case, to make us understand that if we don’t react to aggression with aggression, our adversary will be put off balance, for that is not what he is expecting. Biblical tradition speaks of the same principle, and when it says, ‘Bless your enemy and you deprive him of his arrows,’ it is not inciting vengeful hypocrisy. It simply means that if we don’t confront vibrational violence with open animosity, our opponent loses balance. This in no way means that we should not stand up for our rights. In fact, it is the equivalent of putting into practice top quality mental judo.

So many times I have disarmed people’s aggression by refusing to allow my ego to take control. There is a basic natural law that when a strong wave comes to the shore, it will explode violently if it hits a rock, but will die calmly on a beach...
I remember my mother often repeated this Spanish proverb: ‘Two people cannot quarrel when one of them does not want to...’ A proverb echoed by this Zen saying: ‘What noise can one hand make?’ Every time we are confronted by conflict, whether at home or at work, before getting on our high horse, we should try to admit that we may well have played a role, even if indirectly, in creating that situation.
The Buddha insists that we should ‘Vanquish rage with love, evil with good. Conquer the miser with generosity, the liar with truth.’

p.131. We have a lot to gain by practising benevolent neutrality.

[Yet, as in Easy Rider, if you ignore the enemy and do your own thing, you remain vulnerable. So, you must send positive energy or something, to be safe. And, if you don’t have to see your enemies again, don’t. Forget them].

Have we ourselves never made anyone suffer by our own obstinacy? Then, let us forgive.

To plot revenge takes days, months, years...Imagine how light you will, feel and how much stronger, if you give up wasting your vital energy on rancour.

Other people need kindness rather than aggression, just as we do? Should we wait until they are all loveable, attractive and perfect before we start loving them? The task of the initiate is to guide the ignorant towards brotherhood.

p.132. Some people’s suffering is so great that they will do anything, including committing acts of violence to draw attention to themselves. Many young people in gangs, or fired up about rock concerts or sports events. “Those people, often themselves victims of neglect, who take up fanatical totalitarian activities, are also a good example of this thirst for recognition. They find in those movements a means of identifying with something, a refuge from a world where the general ‘non-sense’ makes them feel lost. These movements provide an opportunity for them to do something and escape the disdain of society.
To banish contempt for others should be one of the first tasks of the initiate.

p.134. [Hospitality. Hostis = enemy. Hospes = host (Latin). Civilisation takes a decisive step forward when an enemy or a stranger becomes a guest]. In ancient times the arrival of a traveller was taken as the sign of a blessing from heaven, a good omen from the gods...We can become more receptive and available to others...’Welcoming’...primarily means observing and, above all, listening.

p.136-137. And if we love them, we need not be afraid of them, if we do not fear them, they will feel it and rejoice, contrary to what their provocative attitude might imply. Therefore, they will do us no harm. True generosity is about being completely devoid of fear before others. Love is an antidote to fear.

(You really need to visualise a mirror directed back towards Pigsy).

Indeed, I experimented with mirrors. I used several small mirrors facing against the wall with the intention of reflecting the neighbours’ hatred back to them. I took them down when it appeared that it was not working! I used to visualise a large mirror returning any negative energy directed towards me from any of the neighbours. And, I also imagined myself donning countless mirrors and affirmed that any negativity intended for me would rebound, that any harm and disturbance wished upon me would never even leave the bearer, but simply increase their own pain which they were trying to shift on to me. I practised these techniques off and on only when I was under intense victimisation from hateful, selfish people. The ultimate intention was that they experience their own suffering to a point where they were conscious of it and might do something about it rather than relive themselves at my expense. The only statement I have ever sought to make is: ‘You don’t do evil things to me and I will leave you alone; you don’t attack me and I won’t try to show you the error of your ways and persuade you to leave me in peace.’ The technique has since been replaced with sending positive energy, white light and pink love to my enemies. However, the harassment from my nasty neighbours has been so constant that I have finally snapped. Rather than suffer stress or feel anger, rather than worry or use mirrors or anything, I have taken immediate, stern revenge in an attempt to deter them from targeting me.

ATo love our enemy is impossible. The moment we understand our enemy, we feel compassion towards him/her, and he/she is no longer our enemy.@ - Thich Nhat Hanh.

Excerpt from Stepping Into the New Reality by Karen Bishop, October 2008 (www.whatsuponplanetearth.com).

Love is our greatest protection. Over the years I have heard of different psychic remedies providing so-called ‘protection’ from dark forces or the like. But the higher we evolve, the more we realise that keeping our own vibration high is the best protection ever. Intentionally doing anything is not a way of being in the higher realms. Sending light to others, smudging to remove denser energies, or even surrounding ourselves with light eventually becomes very moot. There is too much extending here and too much of our old ego selves making things happen. In the beginning stages we may have felt more comfortable performing these rituals, but eventually we will find that we no longer need them.
Staying in a state of love as much as possible when we visit the denser energies or old reality is all we need do to stay centred, peaceful, and grounded. But at times, this can be a very tall order indeed. After all, we are only human and still evolving. This is why we can only stay in these denser energies for limited amounts of time and then we must retreat to our sacred spaces. It may sound harsh, self-serving and a bit strange, but it is a good and solid remedy to keep us afloat and feeling good so that we can assist others in our own special ways. As always, a simple fact of how energy works is that higher vibrating energies cannot stay in the same space as lower vibrating energies.
Just like a simple flower in nature, when we know who we are, are very comfortable being just that, can stand firm and steady within our true selves, not taking things personally, and simply being comfortable with our true, authentic, and divine selves, we can then be much less affected by any lower vibrating energies which may surround us.
Add to this, being in a state of love as much as possible and feeling this love for our brothers and sisters while seeing who they truly are...their true, authentic, and divine selves, can greatly ease our time spent in the lower dimensional realities.
When we find that we are suddenly in the company of an energy which does not feel good to us, it can help if we stop to identify what our overlap or like energies are about...in other words, why we connected in the first place. Staying in that arena or subject matter as much as possible while ignoring any others, along with focusing on the divine gifts and talents of that individual will greatly assist in keeping our lights shining and our vibrations high when we are not in our sacred spaces.
We are most certainly morphing into the angels of the earth, one by one. As our angel wings continue to sprout (that never ending stiffness and pain in our upper back and neck...), we become more like the angels who have loved and watched over us each and every day. So then, eventually we will be the angels of the earth, as we drop down into the lower dimensions to assist and serve, while spending the remainder of our time in our Heaven on Earth.
By simply being who we truly are...our pure and authentic selves...we can thus keep our light shining brightly while we make our own special contributions through our sacred gifts and talents.
Do you know who you really and truly are? Do you know what your very special contribution is? Do you know why you are here on this Earth at this particular point in time?

“If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will avoid one hundred days of sorrow.” - Chinese proverb.

“‘Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto his stature?’ The Kingdom of God is not won by anxiety. Self-assertion, desires to better clothe and feed the self, are ‘strange devices.’ Evil is not overthrown by resistance but by submission; it is not the passive quiet of the coward, not the sullen stolidity of the slave, but the selfless service of the Christ, which disarms the enemy. When the left cheek is voluntarily submitted for a blow like that which stings the right, when the cloak is given to him who snatches the coat, when not only is the demand for the first mile granted, but the second also, and that from sheer goodwill toward the oppressor, evil becomes ashamed, it cannot understand such carelessness. ‘The Empire is won by non-concern.’” (Comment on Chapter 57 of C. Spurgeon Medhurst’s translation of The Tao-The-King. Sayings of Lao Tzu, IL., U.S., 1905, p.126).

Question: Dear Kryon, is it ever appropriate for a Human to resort to violence?

Answer: Yes, when you’re attacked with life-threatening force, it’s appropriate to respond with violence if necessary. In addition, it’s acceptable to meet violence with violence when protecting your children or family.

There are times when you must meet force with force, for this is the only thing that force understands. Let me give you an example: If you’re awakened in the middle of the night and you find an assailant standing over your child’s bed, about to destroy the life of your child, I guarantee that you’ll use force to stop it. This is instinct, and it doesn’t mean that you’re violating spiritual guidelines. The term ‘turn the other cheek’ refers to a situation where you’ll give ultimate patience within an exchange where anger might have otherwise been a Human reaction. It has never meant ‘stand and be harmed.’

St. Germain says that Jeshua’s advice, ‘Turn the other cheek,’ meant ‘look another way,’ not ‘Here’s my other side, slap that too.’ “For, the one got slapped because of how they saw. One who looks a different way does not get slapped. They don’t attract that. Their awareness is acute in the moment.” How we see creates our reality, he adds. “I think what weakens people most is fear of wasting their strength.” - Etty Hillesum (An Interrupted Life; www.quotelady.com/subjects/strength.html).

Vicki Vale (Kim Bassinger): Some people say that you're as dangerous as the Joker.
Batman (Michael Keaton): He's psychotic.
Vicki: There are some people who say the same thing about you.
Batman: What people?
Vicki: Well let's face it, you're not exactly...’normal’ are you?
Batman: It's not exactly a ‘normal’ world, is it?
- Batman (directed by Tim Burton, 1989).

Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford): For some reason, I just keep on upsetting people.
Dr. Webster (Bernard Hepton): You do not upset people. You only think you do.
Frank: I upset them, make them angry.
Dr. Webster: [Getting to his feet] You do not make them angry. I’ve just told you that!
Frank: I antagonise people.
Dr. Webster: [Shouting] You do not antagonise people!! Good God, how many more times? I know what I’m talking about.
Frank: I always antagonise.
Dr. Webster: [Points at Frank] Shut up!!
Frank [Points at himself]: But…
Dr. Webster: [Makes a loud, curt sound]
Frank: But…
Dr. Webster: [Makes another loud, curt sound and raises his arm as though wanting to strike Frank and then lowers it slowly, patting his head]
Dr. Webster: You do not antagonise people. You only think you do. Now, repeat this after me: ‘I do not antagonise people.’ Go! [Points at Frank again]
Frank: I do not antagonise people.
Dr. Webster: Good. [Sits down at his desk again quickly, picking up his notepad, with his back to Frank]
Frank: But I do. [The psychiatrist slams the notepad back down on the desk in despair] I told ya, people don’t like me.
Dr. Webster: People DO like you!

Ptaah on Exhaustion, Love and Healing

Message from P'taah

Channelled through Jani King, October 2014

Q:  We have a question that asks, "I am having some major feelings of exhaustion. No matter how much I rest and sleep, I always feel exhausted. It has become more critical over the past few weeks. I have to work and it takes more energy than I have to do that with the little leftover. P'taah, can you help me pinpoint the problem?"

P'taah:  Let us say that the idea called exhaustion, called almost not being able to cope, everything too hard, too much, is created from stress. And the idea called stress comes from the projection of a negative outcome. Usually that has nothing to do with what is occurring in the Now, but rather what is projected into a future.

So we would say, first of all, the idea is to nurture the body, to nurture every part of you, but to nurture yourself, we would say. If you are tired, stop and sleep or rest or do something very delicious for yourself.

We would say this idea called exhaustion is always created by an idea that there is too much to do and not enough time. Well, you create the time. You are not having enough joy out of life. And you see, no matter what you do, no matter what scenario you have created in your life, there is always another way - another way to look at the situation, another way to be in the situation.

So, the idea of exhaustion is simply that you are not taking enough care, not being mindful, not paying attention. So it is to look at the old ideas that keep you stuck in the situation where you think you must do this or you must do that and we would say why?

And the idea that somebody else is there to judge you. Well, you know, the most judgement is what you put upon yourself. If you can just relax into it all and do as it feels at the moment, then this physical exhaustion will not be. Of course you all get tired when you are physically very active or even when you are mentally very active. Then we say "stop." When you become tired, stop.

Q:  You know, one thing that I am finding - and fortunately, I have some mirrors who are very wonderful in pointing it out to me in a very kind way - my languaging is very often quite negative. I see the negative side of things a lot more often I would believe I do. And I'm not even aware of it, it's so habitual. And I wonder how many of us do that, have a negative expectation. It is such a habit.

P'taah:  It is habitual and as you learn to live with attention, so you may change that. You know, sometimes it is almost like a superstition with you all that you cannot be the positive in case you anger the gods of good luck. So it is almost that you are obliged to speak negatively so that you will not attract the negative to you.

Q:  Yeah, we tip toe through life so we don't get the negative god's attention!

P'taah:  Indeed.

Q:  I have one more from a person who asked what the best things are that we can do for each other so that healing can occur?

P'taah:  To love each other. There is nothing else.

If each of you would display the love that you would desire for yourself, then you would all assist each other. Of course, the truth is that the healing can only take place within oneself. But, of course, to assist, to be there to nurture and to support, it is simply to love and to display this in whatever way is appropriate for the situation.

You know, beloved ones, to be the love is also to be the love for you and to acknowledge truly that which you fear, no matter how you dress it up, and not to make it bad or wrong.

If your children were babies again and if you saw them reacting in a way that showed their fear, you would not berate them. You would embrace them and say "it is all right, beloved, nothing to be afraid of. You are totally loved," would you not?

Q:  Yes, yes.

P'taah:  So why can you not do that with yourselves, with those little parts of you that are still the child, still the little ones, still afraid. That is showing the love. And as you become more and more adept at doing this for yourself then so it is you become more and more adept at being this for other peoples. To recognize also that you are a gift for other peoples.

Q:  That's beautiful. Harder to see for us, I think, but certainly that's very true.

P'taah:  As you more and more treat yourself with love, more and more acknowledge the truth of you, that which you judge to be negative as well as that which you judge to be positive, so you are recreating more and more the balance. So you are creating more and more health.

It is simply required that you live with attention. The habitude is not only to think negatively very often, but the habitude is also to brush aside and not to acknowledge those aspects about yourself that you really do not want to acknowledge. The stuff that you feel is perhaps naughty or bad, not up to standard, does not exemplify a Goddess or a God in bud ready to flower. Whereas the truth is until you can acknowledge it, accept it and embrace it, you cannot flower. You will forever remain a bud and that is all right, because after all, buds are perfect, you see? Does it make sense to you?

Q:  It makes perfect sense. P'taah. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

P'taah:  Indeed. It is always such a joy to have this opportunity to reflect to you all that which can assist you in your day-to-days to have more fun, to have more delight, to have more intensity of joy. And to remind you that one of your major missions in this life is to find more and more ways to express love. All right, my beloved?

So it is with such love that we issue forth to you and to all, Namaste and to remind you that you are eternally cradled in the heart that be I. Farewell.

Q:  Farewell. Thank you, P'taah.

P'taah

Your intentions are extremely powerful capabilities that you all have

By Saul

Channelled through John Smallman, 1 October 2014

Humanity’s progress towards awakening is proceeding apace.  It is hard for you to conceive of the progress that is being made all over the world, because the news from the mainstream media continues to focus on conflict and suffering.  Conflict and suffering are ongoing, but there is far, far more of a loving nature that is occurring worldwide, that remains unseen and unreported by the mainstream news organizations.  These loving activities are expressing people’s true feelings, and demonstrating very clearly the collective intent to awaken.  Keep up your excellent work of praying, meditating, and intending for Love to flow easily into every heart, because it is very effective and is bringing about the changes necessary worldwide for humanity’s awakening.

As you know, those of us in the spiritual realms who are constantly watching over you and supporting you, are always available to answer your calls for assistance, instantly, so never hesitate to call on us.  We love it when you do because our duty and responsibility is to be here for you at all times, and when you call on us it is like an acknowledgement that you desire and accept the help that we can provide.  By calling on us you are honoring us.  Never for a moment think that we are too busy to answer you, or that your requests are not important enough for you to “intrude” as we must be very busy helping so many others with far more important problems and issues.  Any issue that you have individually is very important to us, so do not hesitate, call us.

Because all are One cooperation is the only way forward, it is the way to understanding and harmony among all, and it leads to delightful and creative solutions to all problems when all are listened to and heard without impatience or judgment.  This New Golden Age is now very well established, and the Light that it has brought to humanity has brought enormous benefits which you will shortly begin to be aware of as changes in the attitudes with which different races and cultures communicate with each other lead away from conflict and towards peace.

When you acknowledge that Love is your true nature and live accordingly, as you will, peace is no longer an issue.  Peace is a state in which hostilities are not occurring and are not expected to occur.  In your natural state as beings of Love there is no thought of hostilities, threats, or betrayals, because they are not of Love, and only Love is Real.  Peace is a state that will occur on the world so that you can focus on Love and dissolve the illusion; it is an unreal state that will dissolve along with the illusion and all that the illusion maintains and supports.  In the mean time praying and meditating for world peace is a very positive activity that produces most wonderful results.

The Love field that envelops the planet and all sentient life thereon – the Tsunami of Love – is being gently and pervasively integrated by all.  Some find it harder than others to allow Love into their lives because they have experienced betrayal and abuse so frequently over the eons, but all are on Earth to accept and embrace Love; that is to discard the illusion which has hidden their true nature from them, and all will succeed.
To become aware that you are a divine being having a temporary experience as a human is extremely beneficial for you, because it helps you to understand why you are on Earth, and it helps you to intensify your determination to learn the lessons that are presented to you, instead of believing yourselves to be victims of a harsh and punishing god.  Meeting and communicating with others who are also choosing to learn their lessons and move very positively towards awakening is an important way to support one another when the illusion surrounding you becomes heavy and unsettling.  It is, of course, an indication of your oneness with each other on a small scale, leading you forwards to an acknowledgement and then an awareness that all are indeed One, always.

Be supportive of one another at all times.  This does not mean joining a group and following a self-appointed leader.  It means intending in every moment to send love and compassion to all who are suffering – there are very few on Earth who are not suffering in some respect, and to measure levels of suffering for the sake of comparison and to establish orders of merit is, at the least, very unwise, a distraction – to make that intent when you wake up in the morning, restate it throughout the day, and again as you lay down to sleep.  Your intentions are extremely powerful capabilities that you all have, it is through them that you are succeeding in changing the world.

The main thing for you to remember, and to focus your attention on when you are fearful, anxious, or depressed, is that you are always fully supported by your heavenly Father and those whom He guides to watch over you personally as you go through your earthly lives.  You are never alone, you are always fully supported.  The sense of aloneness or abandonment that you sometimes experience is a part of the illusion whose purpose is to hide from you your true nature at One with your loving Father.

When you are feeling down, hopeless, depressed turn to Him, or to any of the guides, angels, or ascended masters who surround you and tell them of your plight, and they will respond, instantly. Intend to realize that you are never alone.

With so very much love, Saul.

Monstaville Book II. Chapter 30

30

Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore): “Let me tell you something...you will spend your lives trying to figure out how to put others down because it makes you feel more important. Why her?...Find out who you are - and try not to be afraid of it. Excuse me.”
(Never Been Kissed, directed by Raja Gosnell, 1999).

Through his self-disgust, Pigsy thinks I will judge and reject him even before I have. He believes it is in me and tried to bring it out so he can attack it, but the poison is the self-hatred inside himself. He assumes that I am weak and abusive like he is, even though I have not acted on it yet, so he feels justified in attacking me, to push, to bring it out and resolve the issue (that is, of his own inner tension). [Retrospective note: As I learned later, this was also a trigger that I had called to myself on some level in order to help release my own fears and blocked emotions from previous lifetimes].

That’s why he has never actually harmed me or started a fight by throwing the first punch. He wants me to react first so he can justify his violence. He believes there is aggression somewhere inside me and he finds it a threat. I’m sure he feels this way about most men but the ones who would soon kick his ass if he pushed their buttons he fears and therefore ‘respects.’ That is, he’s a bully and will only act on this instinct towards men he is confident of beating in a fight if it came to it. He is convinced that I want to attack him and if I do not I must be a baby because if there is any violence in me it should be unleashed...and then he can see that you are just like him and he will consequently feel satisfied. His fear of the unknown, that you are anything more special than he is, will subside.

He has his vices and couldn’t bear someone looking down on him. I think that, deep down, he respects me and that is why he cannot attack me. He wants to prove that I am just as fucked up as he is but if he succeeds in getting the reaction he is looking for then he will realise fully that I am just as savage and pathetic as he is. Then he will respect me as much as he respects himself, on every level. Perhaps he would just feel permanently justified in doing anything, taking his anger out on me verbally or physically without restraint. The fire does not blaze; the fight does not get off the ground.

[See Appendix VIII for some belated wisdom from Mother Mary in regard to understanding and helping people who seek to cause harm to others].

“There are times in life when I really, really wish that people like The Equaliser, or the folks on Leverage existed in this world, and that they were on my side.  Or that I could conjure up Machiavelli, ply him with food and wine, and get some sound advice on how to deal with nasty people. Sometimes, I feel like I was raised amongst Hobbits in The Shire. I need a cunning mastermind to help me navigate some of the perils of society.” – Madam Chow (Madam Chow’s Kitchen, www.mzkitchen.com/?p=1015).

I have always thought that some people could sense unconsciously my own aggressive actions, or violence, in previous lifetimes. Yet, that person, or those people, is no longer who I am. Imagine a great warrior like Musashi, Japan’s most famous Samurai warrior, who is aggressive as a youngster and wins every fight throughout his life, like it’s just too easy for him. Yet, as he grows older he grows more relaxed and contemplative, takes up painting and appreciates peace. Musashi, although he is also one of Japan’s most famous painters, remained enthusiastic about the art of war right to the end, as far as I know. Imagine a warrior, however, who becomes a wise and gentle elder in his later years and is challenged by a wild young warrior trying to prove something, hungry for power and disdainful towards tradition and the respect and self-control that it confers for the good of the community. The elder no longer operates on the same fiery, savage level. His life may be in danger without protection from the social order which recognises his status and authority; or he may employ wisdom and strategy to defend himself. He is not interested in ‘winning’ or killing his challenger. He only wishes to diffuse the problem. First, he may try reasoning with his younger brother and, last, he may kill his opponent if absolutely necessary for his own survival and the preservation of those around him and their way of life.

The selfish, hot-blooded rebel is so sure of himself without having the perspective that results from learning and experience. He may even have made a deal with the enemy with the aim of usurping the seat of power (replacing accomplished individuality with the lower animal self). Hopefully, he will learn a valuable lesson from his mistake while the elder may have grown likewise through the test of his wisdom and strength. One is charging up the hill, fuelled and encouraged by his natural energy and vigour which also generate pride. The other is strolling meditatively down the other side, observing the beauty and pondering the meaning all around him as well as assessing his feelings and delighting in this newfound source of self-awareness, this inner world that he often failed to notice in his active past. They happen to meet. Either the thug mows his spectre down in the form of the old man or the latter sees his protagonist coming and moves silently to one side ready to stand his ground and deal with the challenge, not with a sharp sword, but with gentle consciousness.

“What other people think of you is none of your business.” – Unknown.

I am Me, I am Free by David Icke (Bridge of Love Publications, Cambridge, U.K., 1996).

p.89. I thought I was just unlucky. I wasn’t. I was creating it by attracting to me what I feared. We need to do this to overcome our fears, otherwise our potential is severely limited and, in the area related to the fear, our evolution comes to a halt. I remember, too, that when I began to love and respect myself for what I am, I began to attract around me more and more people who love and respect me for what I am and not for what they would like me to be. You don’t like your friends? Change yourself and your friends will either change in their attitude towards you or they will move out of your life and others will emerge to reflect your new sense of you. Everything that happens in your life you are creating...The subconscious considers the book [speaking of the way we are magnetised to certain books] helpful to the reawakening of its conscious level and so it drops the hint in a physical way. Whatever we need, we draw to us.

p.126-127. The same applies when people attack us or hurl abuse at us. We can take on their problem or leave them to deal with it. If they have a problem with us, that’s exactly the situation. They have a problem. It only becomes our problem if we choose to get hooked in and be offended by what they say or do. When we react negatively to someone who offends or hurts us, we are making a two-way magnetic connection with them. We become hooked into their vibe. Their problem is now ours. We are playing on their negative playing field, on their terms, and by their rules. When we choose not to be offended or hurt, there is no magnetic connection and so we don’t take on another’s problem or create a problem that isn’t really there.

p.151-152. Go to the focus of your bitterness, look him, her, them, in the eye and say how much you love them and you want the conflict to subside. How they wish to react to that offer is up to them, but you have ended the conflict because conflict cannot exist without two sides full of bitterness for each other. If you no longer project bitterness the conflict must end because love and bitterness are never in conflict. They cannot be because love is without judgement, bitterness, guilt or resentment - the very fires that make conflict possible.

If we could assure you of anything, it would be that you are well looked after, and well cared for in many dimensions and that everything you are experiencing is in divine and perfect order. Chaos is merely a reflection of reorder, and reorder is the order of the day! All of life on this planet at this time are undergoing an arduous restructuring process...from the very cells that make up your human biology to the governing systems of every nation. This includes those who join you in the conscious brigade and those who do not...Hold steadfast to your inner knowing that all strife will soon dissipate under the magnificent light of new creation. The world around you will continue to crumble in many divine ways but you, benevolent ones, will remain securely fastened to the foundation of new earth should you choose to see life through the eyes of divinity. Be at peace knowing that you are fully protected and supported through this and every change. All that is love is of divine order and all that is in divine order would be impossible to destroy. Eventually, all arrive at truth. All this you already deeply know. We are the Sirian High Council applauding your endurance in the face of adversity and already celebrating your success. Stay centred in your knowing despite all external appearances. In the blink of an eye, a new day dawns!”- The Sirian High Council (channelled through Lauren C. Gorgo, ‘The Merging of Soul Partnerships,’ 12 May 2009, www.thinkwithyourheart.net).

The Gabriel Messages Card #9: ’Trust in the Divine Plan, bless it and bless the Divine Order inherent in every person and every situation.’

Dear One,
When you trust in the Divine Plan you are moving into the universal flow of good. You are acknowledging that there is an underlying energy within all things.  This is the energy of God, and it is part of the Divine Plan for all beings to live in harmony, love and abundance.  You can trust this.
When you bless the Divine Order inherent in every person and every situation, it increases the spiritual energy flowing through whatever you are focused upon. Blessing brings more love to the person or situation, which brings an immediate improvement.

Practice:

Divine Order exists as the underlying truth within all beings and all situations. It is a powerful affirmation for life and can be used as a mantra to remind you of the greater truth within all circumstances. This means repeating the words ‘divine order’ to settle your mind, and to bring you peace. When you don’t know what to do, claim ‘divine order’ and your mind will align with this powerful reality. Divine Order is being in perfect alignment with God on every level of your being. Remembering Divine Order, and proclaiming it, assists the energy around you to fall into perfect alignment.
These very simple steps of trusting, blessing and remembering can bring you peace of mind in upsetting situations. The more often you remember, the stronger you become. Your inner sense of peace will become unshakable because you have aligned yourself with the ultimate truth at all times. Remember your message from the Angels today.

Trust in the Divine Plan, bless it and bless the Divine Order inherent in every person and every situation.’”

“Those who hurt others will also hurt themselves.” - Natsuki Takaya.

“You're right of course, I have learned that reaction just keeps us stuck in a limited ego identity like animals whereas our true being is light and love and dwells within and beyond the heart and that is the path to inner happiness whereas reaction pulls us out into the outer world which is a holographic illusion and keeps us stuck in the Matrix as-it-were. And I guess maybe I have had enough suffering and want out if I can accomplish such a feat. Worth a try anyway! Haha. Of course I have been fortunate enough to have had some encouragement from spiritual sources beyond this plane of consciousness we call the world. If that makes sense! But then I'm older and one has to grow wiser sooner or later (although many don't!).” – Antraeus de Herschia (from a message to a friend, 15 September 2013).

“Learn what is to be taken seriously and laugh at the rest.” - Goethe in Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse (1927).

Cannibal Kids by Kate Tempest

KATE TEMPEST is an impressively edgy and talented contemporary poet. I first came across her work a year ago as I was planning a three-week Poetry unit. Poetry is supposed to be heard, so in the course of searching YouTube clips to bring this art form to life, I found Tempest’s ‘Cannibal Kids.’ The performance is part of the BBC’s poetry season.

Kate hails from South East London (Brockley), and came to literature in general and poetry in particular through rap (her Facebook fan page lists Wu Tang Clan and Mos Def as influences, among others). So it’s unsurprising that her poetry has a ‘street’ vibe to it. Her flowing rhythms, spitfire delivery, and mythical choruses give voice to a new generation of young, reckless, and dispossessed youth.

Raw and unpretentious, Kate’s poetry is at once a lament and a summons. This balance between  self-aware vulnerability and arrogance is what makes Tempest so captivating.

Cannibal Kids by Kate Tempest
Round here
These cannibal kids want to be kings
But there ain’t no royalty left
Cause round here
The sirens and screams float on the wind
And even the street shudders
Afraid of our footsteps.
*
Round here
These cannibal kids want to be kings
But there ain’t no royalty left
Cause round here
The sirens and screams float on the wind
And even the street shudders
Yes, even the street shudders.
*
Round here
These cannibal kids want to be kings
They don’t know that kindness is courage
Or that sympathy sings
Much louder than violence
They are bitter and drained
Eyes of ice stare from figures of flames
Puff-chested, restless, nameless,
They carry their pain
To the point of being painless.
*
These numb ones, young ones,
The new latch-keys of London
Just soaking up that humdrum
That makes them want to run
From the state they’re in
Powerless, penniless,
Feathers clipped, they find eagles’ wings
In the derelict brotherhood of gang-life
That bang-bang life
That shouts louder than a sarcastic teacher
Clapping hands twice
And staring down a frightened nose
See, they learned that respect comes from striking a pose
That demands it.
*
But I know
Respect and fear are not compatible
But they’re a long way from bat and ball
They don’t play, they let daggers fall
From blood-soaked fingers
While their siblings lie bleeding in hallways dead
But like wisdom has always said
Blood begets blood and keeps spilling
So the pavements are stained
And our hearts are grief-stricken.
*
Cause round here
These cannibal kids want to be kings
But there ain’t no royalty left
No, cause round here
The sirens and the screams float on the wind
And even the street shudders
Yeah, even the street shudders.
*
While that paranoid panic
Goes seeping through the granite
Of the breeze-blocks
Turning our cities into sheep-flocks
See me, I pity those whose knees knock
The victims of the media machine
Them poor souls who’ve forgotten how to dream.
*
You see, that cut-throat mentality,
That gets encouraged in business
They tell you, yeah, to be a success
You’ve got to step on some necks
So big money is made through that ruthless pursuit
And while they’re shot in water
They’re jailing kids for shop in copper suits.
*
Now, we were born
Into these blood-soaked cities of industry
Informed of the savagery
The infamy, barbarity of history,
Controlled, and contrived, and depressed
And attested, and stressed out and vexed
It’s a message we’ve been fed
So we could propagate their system
Of division, inhibition,
Viciousness and contradiction
We were suckled on the milk that they soured
Told the future was ours
And then disembowelled and disempowered
We’ve been disgraced, deafened and deflowered
Our brains brutalized and our defiance devoured.
*
And so now they’re shooting guns and robbing cats
And trying to claw a little back
But when the whole thing shatters
It always starts with a little crack
And then splinters
Stretching out for miles
Pointing fingers at smart-dressed men
With crocodile smiles.
But still we get the blame
Told that life is all exchange
Told that we are the child of capo
That we are the children of apathy
*
That we are the children of this rapidly changing reality
But I say we learnt it from them
From their rules and their ways
Cause their legitimate businesses deceive and disgrace
While us, we do what we can,
Because we live in this place
Where the truth can’t be seen in the face.
