Monstaville Book I. Chapter 32

32

“The closer one comes to the fullness of their eternal light body, the harder the beings of the dark will try and stop them. But also at the same time, the lighted beings have become much more skilful at warding off those dark energies...It is simply the way it is, that as you ascend into greater light, those of the darkness will do everything they can to stop you. And rest assured, they know every trick in the book. This is another reason why we tell you that simply filling your being with light during meditation is not enough. You must actually use that light. Use it to ask questions, use it to heal, use it to dialogue with your high self. You have an expression, ‘use it or lose it.’”
- Lady Kadjina (channelled through Kay, 16 June 2001, www.crawford2000.co.uk/kadj1.htm).

Angel Card: Grace. Monday morning. Can’t get my brain to work. Can’t think adequately about the things I need to do, or decide what I need to do. Oh, I got very angry last night because I can’t play my guitar owing to the neighbour threat. All these problems all at once - just too much sometimes. ‘Grace’ is the answer. Accept and release. Be light and rise above it all. Don’t be attached to negative circumstances you can’t change (yet). Focus on positive things/feelings.

“Rebellion against your handicaps gets you nowhere. Self-pity gets you nowhere. One must have the adventurous daring to accept oneself as a bundle of possibilities and undertake the most interesting game in the world - making the most of one’s best.” - Harry Emerson Fosdick (open-minded American clergyman, 1878-1969). [Retrospective note: If one person is in pity, says St. Germain, the other(s) should be centred in Light otherwise it ends up as a ‘Pity Party’ which helps no one! AFW, Solstice, 20 June 2009].

“We all have handicaps, even if we're not confined to wheelchairs or if we don't have highly visible ones. Some of us have great fear in social situations, or we're unable to do things that other people consider normal or simple. There are people with dyslexia who have a hard time reading, and there are people who cannot do simple math equations without some sort of help.
No matter what your handicaps, though, it's important that you focus on your potential, on all the possibilities that are here in your life. You can do virtually anything you want to do in life, as long as you're willing to dedicate yourself to whatever it is. Too many people focus on their limitations, and in doing so they sabotage their potential, never allowing themselves to reach it because they never worked at developing their gifts.
You may be weak in some things, but you're definitely strong in others - we all have our strengths and weaknesses. If we spend so much time worrying about the weaknesses that we never can focus on our strengths, though, we're basically ensuring that we never make the best of our best. By focussing on our strengths, we can learn to compensate for the weaknesses. By focussing on the weaknesses, we never can learn to develop our strengths.
You have great possibilities in this life, and it's up to you to find out what they are and to start developing your strengths so that you can make the absolute most out of your best.
You owe it to the world to give to it the best you have, and you owe it to yourself to make the most of the wonderful gifts that were given to you!
Nothing is too great or too good to be true. Do not believe that we can imagine things better than they are. In the long run, in the ultimate outlook, in the eye of the Creator, the possibilities of existence, the possibilities open to us, are beyond our imagination.”
                - Joseph Wood Krutch (American writer, critic and naturalist, 1893-1970).

"No Fear, No Guilt, No Self Doubt." - Hiram Ben Hiram.

“Life’s as kind as you let it be.” - Charles Bukowski, Hot Water Music.

An Encounter with Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov. A personal testimony by Annie Mazière (Editions Prosveta, France, U.K., 1985).

p.87. ...no one but he could have so uncomplainingly endured prison, defamation and treachery; no one else could have kept so steadfastly on his way in spite of inhuman tribulations intended to arrest his triumphant progress.

p.89. No one can dim the light of this sun. No faintest cloud of pessimism casts its shadow over this joyful enthusiast who has such unconditional faith in the life of the cosmos and in the man of tomorrow, for he knows that the man of tomorrow is the eternal man, capable of restoring harmony to its primeval perfection.

p.92. ...the Master has told us, he possesses the Philosopher’s Stone which enables him to turn lead into gold and the stones that have been cast at him into precious gems. In this way he has become so rich that he can distribute these precious stones to all who need them. He even expresses his gratitude to those who thought to harm him with their stones of malice: all they did was to provide him with the means to help all men!

p.93. ...this alchemical, spiritual power that would have enabled them to transform all the calumnies and filth flung at them and use it to become strong and invincible...the Master thanks those who have given him so many golden opportunities to manifest his tolerance, magnanimity and love by forgiving them.

p.103. Every day, with sovereign open-handedness, he scatters his diamonds, rubies and emeralds in the dark night of ignorance. He even casts his pearls to the swine who turn them into venomous snakes. ‘If you are being slandered on all sides,’ he said to me, ‘recently, ‘you should be very pleased. It’s a sure sign that you are making progress.’

“A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” - David Brinkley.

Being compassionate and forgiving others, even if you suffer, is a chance to express and know your higher nature, the loving energy of your spirit.

"Live with skilful nonchalance and ceaseless concern." - Pragnaparamita Sutra.

Retrospective inserts.

“What is most beautiful in virile men is something feminine; what is most beautiful in feminine women is something masculine.” - Susan Sontag (Against Interpretation, Farrar Straus & Giroux, New York, U.S., 1966).

I observe many people who are struggling with a male or female body. It often feels like the person is has been more comfortable in a body of one gender or the other and is more familiar with that. I see that many men who behave aggressively do so because they have not developed the inner sense of purpose and self-confidence of the masculine principle and therefore struggle to handle the outer man that they are in this lifetime. And, those men who feel they need to put on an act and look macho are so obviously weak and insecure inside. Why else would anyone want to look so alien and deranged in a world that is essentially feminine? A character in Diagnosis Murder suggests that machismo ‘only means showing off in front of the ladies.’ She asserts, “If a woman like that didn’t take up with a man like that, a man like that would shape up in a hurry.”

We are here to be open and feminine, kind and gentle, towards all life whilst also centring ourselves in the expression of creative power that we may deepen our self-awareness as divine beings. Whichever physical gender we are wearing, or in which we reside, is likely to emphasise one or the other orientation as a general approach to life. Those men find it difficult to express masculine qualities within themselves because they have not developed them sufficiently and they can get carried away because power on any level is by no means easy to master, to channel and control wisely and compassionately. Ultimately, it is the power of Being itself, the power of our Being, that we must learn to contain and control...to ride the tiger rather than be mauled and eaten by it. Once the tiger runs wild it poses a threat to society at large and may, indeed, need to be shot for the safety of all unless we can come up with effective drugs or simple surgery based on a higher, spiritual understanding, as Osho has suggested (in The Golden Future).

That is the purpose of taking on a male body to experience these qualities on the outside in order to eventually evoke them on an inner level. You see, if such men had greater familiarity with true inner confidence, will, purpose and power as unique individuals, they would have nothing to prove. They would be free to unfold naturally, to open the petals of their hearts and respond to the world with love. They would not fear the accompanying vulnerability, or shy away from their own sensitivity. They would know that opening up emotionally is the natural direction of growth for them so they may find greater fulfilment through releasing the perfume of their spirit, sharing the love in their hearts with the world. Of course, there are also many men who, though they inhabit a male body, hardly seem to identify with it at all, and remain very feminine inside and out. It is not for us to judge. Each person has their own karma, their own unique destiny, their own pathway to unfoldment. Perhaps they have chosen just to sample the experience of being in a male body but essentially remain feminine and perhaps that is right for them.

Some people may even change their physical gender. Perhaps they had no option at the time of birth because only a male body was available in the conditions they needed. Or, perhaps, they have paid their karmic dues and learnt the lesson provided by the male body and do not need it so much anymore. Indeed, having become strong individuals inside themselves, it makes sense to them to feminise their exterior to open themselves to life through evoking more feeling inside themselves. Furthermore, there are souls who have not had many human lives, who might even belong to the elemental kingdom and seek only to experience life as a man or woman lightly. The likelihood, in this case, is that the soul will be innately more feminine, and very gentle and sensitive, caring, playful and sweet. Imagine such a soul in a male body. Taking the plunge and identifying with that body would be very dangerous. They are likely to know better than to sacrifice themselves by allowing the body to take over. They might have a rare feeling of serenity and wholeness that prevents them from taking stupid risks or losing their grip. They have no intention of becoming animals whereas young souls who have not had very many lives on Earth yet who are committed to the path of evolution as individual souls with free will must go through the process of experience and becoming. They will eventually increase their strength and raise their awareness above the level of the physical body, realising that they are the Source, the eternal fruit, not the transient husk.

Only a shallow, narrow mind that fears truth judges people according to how they appear or behave as physical egos. Whereas with the feminine soul in a male body might be inclined to project their emotional neuroses through volatile physical behaviour, there are also women who are strong-willed and very masculine within and who express their will in subjective, ‘bitchy’ ways because the female body increases their emotional sensitivity. They are hard and mean but sensitive at the same time which may allow them to mature and deepen their identity in time. In the case of the former, the water floods the bank until, eventually, it is held firmly in place, contained. With the latter example, the water of emotion collides with the rock, eventually softening it to an extent so the person becomes more gentle and yielding. It is quite absurd to view people only in terms of their physical gender. We are not ducks!

Those souls who are very confident and mature in their inner feminine qualities are likely to use that as a foundation for also asserting their will and expressing power as individuals in their own right whilst in a female body. But one could be very balanced and whether essentially masculine or feminine on the inside, and in a male or female body, whether more focussed on inner centeredness or outer openness, using the physical vehicle as a focus, an instrument for following their destiny and doing what they can to Earth to achieve. Anyway, it is not my intention to list or analyse every possible scenario! I merely wish to point out that human beings have the potential to be complete in terms of bring conscious of both the feminine and masculine qualities and that it is pure ignorance to believe that men should be men and women should be women. There is usually something strikingly feminine in an evolved soul inhabiting a male body and something impressively masculine in an evolved soul inhabiting a female body. They are balanced, complete. The woman may have a strong masculine side but be deeply feminine and the man may have a strong feminine side yet remain deeply masculine...because these depths have been developed over many lives.

An American friend summed the situation up succinctly when she counselled, “I believe that androgyny is not too far in front of us on the evolutionary path...Those of us that have more of the opposite than the norm are simply more evolved...Get it?” (Thank you Pi).

“It is important that you practice regular mind clearing via the higher frequencies of Light. Remind yourself often: ‘What purpose does it serve to hold onto old grudges and hurtful incidents?’ There are now multiple realities to choose from. Sooner or later, everyone must become aware that they are multidimensional Beings. Accept the truth that you are immortal and begin to live life to the fullest in the Eternal Now.
Developing Self-awareness requires focused thought, which leads to pathways of higher consciousness. You must develop and perfect your power of conscious selection within the accepted, narrower spectrum of Light and shadow. In the future, more refined reality of humanity, peace will prevail, and conflict will be resolved via diplomacy as everyone learns to seek the highest outcome and the most benevolent solutions. At first you must consciously choose a positive alternative to a negative, habitual response. During your nightly review of your day, envision a higher frequency alternative, and gradually the negative habits will fade away. All facets of manifestation begin internally. The concepts or abstract ideas to be birthed must go through an incubation stage before they can become a reality in the world of form. Remember, all of your life’s experiences are a result of the discordant or harmonious frequencies you project; consciously or unconsciously, you are the creator of your material reality.
As you make progress in the process of claiming your gifts and attributes of mastery, you will discover that loneliness is an illusion, an impulse of the ego, whereby external stimulus or interaction with other people is sought as a means of enjoyment or validation of self-worth. The desire for solitude becomes a burning impulse for the spiritual aspirant. You must experience aloneness to discover who you really are. It is vitally important that you tune into and monitor your own thoughts, for the constant, random mind chatter becomes potent thought forms if it is allowed to continue over a long period of time. It is like cutting a groove of thought in your ‘mind recording apparatus,’ and your subconscious/ego mind will eventually accept these random thoughts as your truth. Each person is unique, and in the process of awakening to your Divinity, you will gradually release the confining disguise of the ego personality in your own time and in your own way.”
- Archangel Michael (channelled through Ronna Herman, ‘It’s Time to Share Your Radiance,’ 1 February 2012, www.ronnastar.com).

“Life anywhere is a challenge, but with Baba one learns that worries are not so monumental as we thought them after all. He teaches us to maintain a better balance of truer values and not to worry over spiritually lesser ones. He often brings our emotions to the surface so we have to face them as this is the way to overcome them. We must not take things too seriously, and never lose a sense of humour. Baba used to have one of us read jokes every afternoon, and someone asked why He liked jokes. Baba replied because the Universe is God's biggest joke!” - Mani S. Irani (Letters From the Mandali, Vol. II, Edited by Jim Mistry, Avatar Meher Baba Perpetual Public Charitable Trust, India, 1983, p.72; from www.avatarmeherbaba.org/erics/joinfun.html).
